Great local lunch spot! I've been going to this place since the 70's, and the quality remains, but the menu variety has grown. I started going here back then for the fish on Friday (with the old fashioned hot red sauce), but one of my favorite things now is the fish tacos - they are delish! Took my grandkids there after an outing downtown - they loved it, too! The service is always excellent and very friendly. One of my favorites in St. Louis!

My coworkers and I go here for lunch alot. I only ever get one thing; their crispy chicken sandwich and fries. It's really good. The sandwich is HUGE, and the fries are good and hot. It's not too badly priced; with a soda, my meal comes right at ten dollars. They have a pretty wide variety of specials that changes every few days or so. They also have a small dessert menu. I haven't tried anything personally, but my coworkers love every dessert that they've tried, which ranges from carrot cake to key lime pie. It's a pretty small place, but in warmer months, there's outdoor seating that's pretty nice. It's not worth a special trip, but if you're in the area, it's worth checking out. They also have a happy hour that is pretty popular among people at my job.

I was very pleasantly surprised with this place. This was suggestion by a local company I was making a sales call and it was just down the street from where I was at. I had an ordinary bacon burger and fries. It was one of the best burgers I've ever had. I'll definitely go back if I get the chance. Great place in an otherwise industrial area.

The people are always nice and the food is consistently good. We particularly like the rib eye sandwich, the cajun catfish and the salads, but can further attest that the chicken is great and the burgers are fine. Portions are generous and the wait staff members are polite and kind. The bar room that you first enter can be kind of loud, but if you proceed on there is another, adjacent room in back that is airier and more quiet. In nice weather there is outdoor dining in a very nice, fenced and private little oasis. Bottom line? We like this place very much!

This isn't really somewhere you go by accident but it is a good dive bar with good dive bar food. Spotted a couple of ladies munching on salads when I first walked in and wondered if they were lost. As I walked past them I noticed the fried chicken pieces on top and it suddenly made sense. I opted for one of the daily specials. It was a pile of buffalo chicken chunks on a griddled roll with lettuce and tomato - bleu cheese dressing on the side. Realistically, the fact that there was an unusually large number of chunks of bleu cheese in the dressing probably is what boosted the experience to 4-star territory. Very good sandwich and it came with tater tots. Who doesn't love tater tots?!? My two colleagues - one had the same as me but with ranch. Sandwiches looked consistent. The other had the fried chicken sandwich with a slice of cheddar. I may get that if I find myself there again. Good service and teamwork was evident during the lunch rush. Love places where everyone chips in to ensure the customers are well cared for during (and after) the meal.

Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing. The cajun catfish was flavorless, but the people in my group that orderd burgers were quite satisfied! Went in during lunch time, seemed like it might be great with a couple of drinks in my system...but lackluster to my sober self.

The food is always good and the prices are reasonable. They always have a daily food special that is worth trying. My only gripe is the lack of microbrews or import beers. They really only have domestics.

The fried chicken is great. The menu is pretty extensive. The place is super clean. The service is good. The beer is cold. I'm on my way!
